BUAN, Aug 8 — South Korea today started evacuating thousands of teenage participants at the World Scout Jamboree from a campsite in the southwest of the country to safer areas, mainly around the capital, ahead of an approaching typhoon.

PUTRAJAYA, Aug 7 — All 499 members of the Malaysian contingent to the 25th World Scout Jamboree, from Aug 1 to 12 in Seoul, South Korea are reported to be safe following the extreme heat wave in Saemangeum.
